Vanguard Steel Fire Rated Duct Doors are specifically designed for fire-rated shaft walls, risers, and service duct openings in commercial and industrial buildings. These doors provide essential access to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and utility systems while maintaining the integrity of the fire-rated enclosure. Built to comply with national and international fire safety codes, they help contain fire and smoke within service shafts, thereby protecting occupants and property.

Frame Construction
  • Fabricated from cold rolled steel (ASTM A366) or hot-dip galvanized steel (ASTM A653).
  • Thickness options:
    - 1.6 mm (14 gauge)
    - 2.0 mm (12 gauge)
  • Welded frame with factory-prepared openings for secure anchorage and installation
  • Sharp radius bends for precision fit and finish.
Shutter Construction
  • 45 mm thick fully flush design for compact and robust construction.
  • Available in 1.2 mm (16 ga.) thickness.
  • Manufactured using cold rolled or galvanized steel sheets.
  • Vertical edges interlocked for enhanced rigidity.
  • Fire-rated and BIS 3614, Part 2, CBRI tested to 120mins compliant with BS476 (PART 20 & 22), NFPA and SDI standards.
  • Available in both single and double leaf options depending on shaft width.
  • Sizes customizable based on duct access and inspection requirements.
Ironmongery
  • Supplied as per BS or ANSI standards.
  • Standard hardware includes:
    - Stainless Steel Hinges
    - Latch or Budget Lock
    - Key or thumb-turn access
    - Optional Vision Panel with fire-rated glass
  • Ironmongery packed separately with detailed installation guidelines.
Finish
  • Powder-coated with high-temperature curing for superior durability.
  • Standard finish thickness: 70–80 microns; optional up to 150 microns.
  • Available in smooth or textured finish.
  • Full RAL colour range supported – custom colour available upon request.
  • Wooden finish applied via heat transfer sublimation technology.
