Vanguard Steel Lead-Lined Doors are specially designed to provide effective radiation shielding in environments where X-rays or gamma rays are present. Commonly used in hospitals, diagnostic centres, laboratories, and industrial facilities, these doors are critical for ensuring the safety of personnel and patients. Steel Frames
  • • Fabricated from commercial-grade cold rolled steel (ASTM A366) or hot-dip galvanized steel (ASTM A653)
  • Available in thickness options:
    - 1.6 mm (14 gauge)
    - 2.0 mm (12 gauge)
  • Precision-formed bends with sharp radius for superior strength and fitting
  • Integrated lead lining (as per required lead equivalency) for radiation shielding
  • Seamless construction ensures complete protection with no radiation leakage
Steel Shutters
  • 45 mm thick, full flush door leaf with internal lead sheet lining
  • Available in 1.2 mm (16 ga.) or 1.6 mm (14 ga.) thickness.
  • Lead sheet thickness varies from 1 mm to 3 mm based on shielding requirements (typically 1 mm Pb to 3 mm Pb)
  • Manufactured using ASTM A366 cold rolled steel or ASTM A526 galvanized steel
  • Vertical edges interlocked; 1.2 mm deep steel channels at top and bottom for added rigidity
  • Vision panel (if required) is fitted with lead glass of equivalent lead rating

  • Single Door: Up to 1200 mm (W) × 2400 mm (H)
  • Double Door: Up to 2400 mm (W) × 2400 mm (H)
  • Custom oversize doors available on request with engineering validation
Ironmongery
  • Supplied to BS standards; ANSI-certified hardware available upon request
  • Factory-prepared concealed cutouts in shutters and frames for seamless fitting
  • Supplied hardware includes:
